Dallas Trail Riding

In case you were wondering, the Dallas trail system is doing a little better than it was a few years ago. I too shed many a tear for what used to be called Tanglewood. The new trails that link up what is left of Tanglewood are a little different. No longer tangled or wooded, the clear cut trails are a far cry from the huge old growth the trail used to wind through

The loggers can cut the timber, but the trail will eventually creep its way back. These photos are from December 30th. The feeling of the new trails is a little more wasteland than lush forest. However, the present day rendition of tanglewood offers its own sense of mystery and wonder.

And thankfully, Gonzo remains undisturbed and beautiful.

For reasons I cannot go over, there will be no maps available on this uncharted system of sweet trails, just know that they are eagerly awaiting the scratch of your bicycles' knobs.

Full Wrap Roadie Fenders

Hey roadies, there is finally a full wrap fender for your skinny, fat free, tight tire clearance road bike. They weigh next to nothing, won't break the bank, and your bike will no longer shower the whole group as you pull through the rain. These little suckers require no tools to put on, nor half of a water bottle to keep your feet dry. No fender mounts or Jerry rigging necessary.

Come on down to the shop and check out the Scott CR1 which we have equipped with these cool fenders. They are made in the UK by Crud components. See all the specs and videos at http://www.crudusa.com/
